Summer Kick Off Party 2023

June 3, 2023, marked Desert Color’s second annual Summer Kickoff Event. The event invited Desert Color’s residents and nightly rental guests to start out the summer with a bang, taking part in a variety of festivities.

The Polynesian Island luau-themed event drew around 4,500 people and consisted of a fire knife Polynesian dance show, touch and feel tide-pool with a variety of sea creatures, 4 story waterslide into the lagoon, seashell hunts and crafts, food trucks, beach vendors, volleyball tournament, Maui and Moana appearances, and of course, lots of swimming at The Shores Resort! The event wrapped up with a top-notch, 20-minute firework show.

It was a great opportunity for residents and guests to interact with each other and to show their enthusiasm and excitement to start the summer off, living the vision of Desert Color.

Without question, COVID-19 has presented the world with health and economic challenges at scales, magnitudes and velocities that none of us have ever experienced or anticipated. The way the world is doing business has been drastically altered, and no one knows for certain what a “new normal” will look like or when it will come. That said, Desert Color is moving forward, with an abundance caution and optimism. Here are some items we would like you to know:

Desert Color’s primary concern is the health and safety of its employees, its many contractors and subcontractors, those who visit the development, and the general public.
Desert Color is following local, state and national policies and procedures, like “social distancing,” to help prevent the virus from spreading.
Desert Color has a deep and abiding commitment to environmental, financial and social sustainability. As the project continues to move forward, Desert Color will be checking and assessing its development activities and investments to ensure that the project achieves positive long-term outcomes for its stakeholders and the community.
Desert Color partners are well positioned and have accounted for market volatility in the longevity of the development. We are fully confident in our ability to bring the full vision of Desert Color to life.

To date, Desert Color has been fortunate. We haven’t seen a crippling impact to the overall project. We continue to make investments in the project. Homes are being built and sold. We invite you to reach out to our builders and our commercial partners. They are engaging with the public in accordance with appropriate “social distancing” measures and would be delighted to hear from you. Come what may, we are not going away. Desert Color is more than just a project. We are members of the southern Utah family, and we are committed to help the family move through and beyond the challenges and frustrations that, no doubt, await us.
