May 29, 2022 marked Desert Color’s first ever Summer Kickoff Event. The event invited Desert Color’s residents and nightly rental guests to start out the summer with a bang, taking part in a variety of festivities.
The 60’s beach party-themed event drew around 2,500 people and consisted of a Beach Boys cover band, classic car show, 24-ton professional sand sculpture, kids crafts, free treats, food trucks, a Memorial Day tribute, and of course, lots of swimming at The Shores Resort! The event wrapped up with Southern Utah’s first-ever Drone Show Spectacular. The show consisted of 100 drones that formed and moved into custom shapes all set to music.
It was a great opportunity for residents and guests to interact with each other and to show their enthusiasm and excitement to start the summer off, living the vision of Desert Color.
